Room-by-room comfort, placed just right.
Cool or heat individual rooms with wall-mounted split systems, positioned for optimal airflow and distribution.

How a split system works
A slim indoor unit on the wall is joined to an outdoor unit by refrigerant pipes — hence “split”. Reverse cycle models heat as well as cool, so one unit looks after a room all year.
Each indoor unit conditions the room or open area it serves. One or several can be installed, so you only heat or cool the spaces you are actually using.
Placement is everything: a well-positioned unit throws air evenly across the room without blasting anyone.

Good for
- Bedrooms, living areas, home offices and granny flats
- Heating and cooling from one unit
- Only running the rooms you are using
- Adding comfort to one part of the home without ducting
Worth knowing
- One indoor unit per room or area
- Keep doors closed to the rest of the house for best results
- Indoor filters need regular cleaning — more often in dusty conditions
- Unit position affects comfort and noise, inside and out
Compare
Ducted, split or cassette?
All three are refrigerated, reverse cycle options. The difference is how much of the space they cover and how they look.

Can I install more than one split system?
Yes. Our technicians can install one or multiple wall mounted reverse cycle systems in your home, each positioned for optimal airflow and even temperature distribution in its room.
How often should I clean the filters?
Check your owner's manual, but manufacturers commonly suggest cleaning indoor filters as often as every couple of weeks in peak season, and more often in dusty areas — very relevant in the Goldfields.
Is a split system expensive to run?
It depends on the unit's size and efficiency, your temperature setting and your electricity tariff. As a rough guide, ACT Government energy guidance (based on ACT prices) puts split systems at about 15 to 50 cents an hour. Conditioning only the room you're in keeps costs down.
