Ducted Gas Heating
Goldfields nights get cold. Every room, warm.
Leave the cold behind with a ducted gas heating system pushing warm air throughout your home.

How ducted gas heating works
A gas-fired heater — in the roof space or outside the home — warms air, and a fan pushes it through insulated ducts to outlets in every room. Cooler air returns through a return-air grille to be heated again.
Goldfields winters are colder than many expect: Bureau of Meteorology averages put July nights at around 5°C, with frosts a few times most winters. Whole-home ducted heat takes the chill out of every room at once.
Ducted gas is a heating-only system, which is why it is so often paired with evaporative cooling for summer.

Good for
- Whole-home warmth on cold winter nights
- Fast, even heat to every room from one appliance
- Pairing with an evaporative cooler for summer
- Hidden heating — just floor or ceiling outlets on show
Worth knowing
- Heating only — you'll need a separate cooling system
- Gas heaters should be serviced at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter (yearly once over 10 years old)
- Want one system for both seasons? Compare ducted reverse cycle

Is your gas heater due?
Three quick questions against Building and Energy WA's servicing guidance.
Building and Energy WA guidance
Answer the questions
Gas heaters should be serviced at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter — every year once they're over 10 years old.
Source: Building and Energy WA, “Is your gas heater safe?”. Guidance only — follow your heater manufacturer’s instructions. If you notice warning signs, stop using the heater and have it checked by a licensed gas fitter.
How often should a gas heater be serviced?
Building and Energy WA recommends gas appliances are serviced as per the manufacturer's instructions or at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter — and annually once the appliance is more than 10 years old.
What are the warning signs a gas heater needs attention?
Building and Energy WA lists difficulty relighting, discolouration of the outer case, or a yellow flame instead of a steady blue one. If you notice any of these, stop using it and get it checked.
Can ducted gas heating also cool?
No — it is heating only. Many Goldfields homes pair it with an evaporative cooler, or choose ducted reverse cycle to do both jobs with one system.
