Maintenance & servicing
Why servicing pays off
We provide routine maintenance as well as regular servicing for all common types of air conditioning units — keeping systems operational and efficient, and catching small problems before they become big ones.
Timing matters in the Goldfields. Average maximums climb past 28°C in November and 30°C by December, so the weeks before summer are the time to have cooling checked — and late autumn is the time to look at heating.
Dust is the other factor. Clogged filters and pads make systems work harder for less comfort, which is why a regular service routine matters more here than on the coast.

Good for
- Evaporative coolers — annual service advised by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
- Split, ducted and cassette systems — yearly or per the manufacturer
- Gas heaters — at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter
- Homes and commercial sites alike
Worth knowing
- Book early — before the first heatwave, not during it
- Between services, clean split-system filters regularly
- Note any noises, smells, leaks or weak airflow to mention when you book

Guidance from public sources: evaporative coolers need an annual service (City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder); refrigerated systems every year or as the manufacturer recommends (ACT Government); gas heaters at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter, or yearly once over 10 years old (Building and Energy WA). Your manufacturer’s instructions come first.

Clean split-system filters regularly, run evaporative coolers on fan-only at night or in humid weather (City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder tip), and keep outdoor units clear of leaves and debris.
