Ceiling Cassettes
Even air from the centre of the room — barely seen.
A discreet, central ceiling unit that delivers wide, even airflow across the whole room.
Ceiling cassettes
How a ceiling cassette works
The indoor unit sits flush in the ceiling behind a square grille. Louvres on each side throw air outward in several directions at once, so the whole room gets an even spread from the centre rather than a jet from one wall.
Like a split system it connects to an outdoor unit with refrigerant pipes; many cassettes are reverse cycle, so they can heat as well as cool.
With nothing on the walls, cassettes keep shopfronts, offices and open living areas clean-lined.

Good for
- Offices, shops and open-plan living areas
- Wide, even airflow from the centre of a space
- Keeping walls clear for shelving, glazing or display
- A discreet, flush-mounted look
Worth knowing
- Needs enough ceiling-cavity depth above the unit
- A condensate drain has to be run from the ceiling
- Best for larger rooms; small rooms may suit a split
- Grille filters need regular cleaning like any indoor unit

Where do ceiling cassettes work best?
Ceiling cassettes are ideal for offices, shops and open-plan living areas — anywhere a wide, even spread of air from the centre of the room beats a single wall unit.
Can a ceiling cassette heat too?
Many ceiling cassettes are reverse cycle and can heat as well as cool. Ask us which models suit your space when you request a quote.
What does my ceiling need?
Enough depth in the ceiling cavity to house the unit, a route for refrigerant pipes to the outdoor unit, and a path for the condensate drain. These are worth checking at quote time.
